Configuring the document workflow definition

When a package is sent from Meridian Enterprise to Meridian360 Portal, a workflow transition should be executed for the vault documents that are included in the package. Besides moving the documents to a read-only state while they are in review in Meridian360 Portal, the transition should set the document’s status to indicate to the users that it was included in a package that was sent to Meridian360 Portal. The reverse should happen when the package is returned to the vault from Meridian360 Portal. For example, in vaults that are based upon the BlueCielo Industry Template, these transitions are Send Out and Receive and they connect to a Sent Out workflow state.

To configure the workflow definition:

1. In Configurator, in the Workflow Definitions branch, review your custom workflow definitions that are applied to document types that will be included in packages. Either choose an existing state to represent documents being temporarily managed by Meridian360 Portal or create a new state and corresponding transitions.
2. In the vault’s event script block, modify the event M360DocCWFEvent_BeforeExecuteTransition as necessary. For more information about editing the event script block, see BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise VBScript API Reference.
